Zeroing in on the Mysterious Carbon Footprint of Packaging
The Centre for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE) has developed a specialized approach for conducting Life Cycle Assessments (LCA). This approach has been developed with the guidance of interationally recognized methodologies, such as the Clean Development Mechanism, ISO 14040 and 14042, Environmental Protection Agency's LCS Inventory Guidelines and Principles, and the prominent WRI GHG Protocol. This methodology, along with relevant case studies, will be shared with attendees to help give insight into the process of measuring carbon footprintg, along with the opportunities associated with doing so.
Speaker bio: Nick Andrews is currently the Managing Director at the Centre for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE) for North American operations. Mr. Andrews specializes in Sustainability Principles, and how they apply to and transform a company’s current business model. He is a Stakeholder Engagement and Sustainability Reporting expert, focusing on the Global Reporting Intiative G3 Reporting Guidelines. Mr. Andrews has been involved in the creation of triple bottom line reporting and strategy for larger clients, such as McCain Foods and the European Investment Bank (EIB), using the GRI G3 standard.
